British composer Alan Rawsthorne was born in 1905 and died in 1971. Rawsthorne tried his hands at several careers before settling on music. He only wrote one work for guitar: Elegy. The piece was unfinished at Rawsthorne’s death, and guitarist Julian Bream finished it.
