Monday Motivation: Koshkin Edition

“Every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life are based on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am still receiving.”
-Albert Einstein

Nikita Koshkin is a Rusian-born composer known for his use of extended techniques and writing some bad-ass music. The piece everyone has heard of by him is the famous Usher Waltz, but today we feature The Prince’s Toys a suite of six movements performed by guitarist Nataliya Rodionova.

It appears that Koshkin runs his own youtube channel where you can check out more of his music. There’s also a Nikita Koshkin Fan Page on Facebook. There’s a DVD of Koshkin performing his own music available from Mel Bay: Nikta Koshkin Guitarist & Composer: In Concert.
