The flute and guitar duo that has captivated live audiences in more than 26 states makes its stop at OSU for the Music a la Carte Series. Acclaimed for their classical artistry, flutist Lisa Schroeder and guitarist Michael Nigro join their musical talents to provide a first rate concert experience brimming with expressive playing and engaging commentary.
Recently Belmont University in Nashville, TN wrote, “Every piece on the program was delightful and expertly performed. It was wonderful for the students to hear an impeccable ensemble and artistry in addition to hearing interesting commentary on the composers and the selections.”
Individually, Schroeder and Nigro are accomplished musicians at the top of their game. Together, their artistry merges to create a dynamic program featuring South American composers. “Noteworthy Duo has crafted exciting interpretations of this beloved standard in the flute/guitar repertoire” (The Flutist Quarterly Magazine, Spring 2010).
Noteworthy Duo released its debut CD, Between Flute and Guitar, in 2009 and since has been performing at esteemed colleges, universities, churches, libraries, and guitar societies and appearing on live television and radio programs. “Noteworthy’s concert was a highlight of our concert season.
